Curriculum
GIRL TALK Components:
1. INTRODUCTION - GIRL TALK lesson begins with an exciting overview and expectations!
2. WE ARE SPECIAL! - Each GIRL TALK will begin on a positive note. Girls will gather in a circle and share one positive word that describes them.
3. LESSON - Each lesson is based on growing research on the pressures adolescent girls are facing.
4. SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY - Lesson and Q&A on community outreach and helping others.
5. GIRL POWER MIND GAMES CURRICULUM - Continual lessons
6. AFRIPADS use instruction and distribution.
7. Encouragement to talk to a female counselor privately and proceed to a family planning method acquisition if needed. Methods are provided on site by our partner qualified local organizations.
WOMEN TALK Components
1. INTRODUCTION - WOMEN TALK lesson begins with an exciting overview and expectations!
2. WE ARE SPECIAL! - Each WOMEN TALK will begin on a positive note. Women will share one positive word that describes them.
3. TALK - Sexual decision making and detailed information on Family Planning Methods.
4. SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY - Lesson and Q&A on community outreach and helping others.
5. AFRIPADS use instruction and distribution.
6. Encouragement to proceed to a family planning method acquisition. Methods are provided on site by our partner qualified local organizations.
BOY TALK Components:
1. INTRODUCTION - BOY TALK lesson begins with an exciting overview and expectations!
2. WE ARE SPECIAL! - Each BOY TALK will begin on a positive note. Boys will share one positive word that describes them.
3. LESSON - Each lesson is based on growing research on the pressures adolescent boys are facing.
4. GAME ACTIVITY - The talks and activities are provided by male counselors and clinic participants.
